BUD
Installation & Costume for dance performance
Premiere: May 26 2022, Bergen International Festival, Bergen(No)
BUD is a choreographic reflection on “waiting” and how we humans operate in this mysterious state. Five performers, dressed in sculptural costumes, transport the audience into a cinematic scenery – escaping a waiting room where time seems to stand still and everything or nothing can happen. Only gradually does the performers’ inert act of lingering transform into an aggressive act of waiting. A collective game unfolds between the hunt for any event and being chased by the unfulfilled.
BUD is commissioned by Carte Blanche – The Norwegian National Company of Contemporary Dance.
